Advising

ISHR’s director of education serves as the primary advisor to students in the Human Rights Studies program.

Students also have access to renowned Columbia University professors with expertise in a broad range of human rights-related issues. Students are encouraged to contact professors with similar research interests as their own for additional advising regarding relevant courses, research, and other opportunities to deepen their engagement with specific rights issues. Contact information for professors can be found on the Columbia directory.

Faculty office locations and hours can be found on the websites for the department with which a professor is associated under the “faculty” link. Columbia maintains a list of all Columbia University departments and academic programs.
